Abstract
This work is based on an investigation of the transport sector, specifically on the basis of six tourist transport companies (ALSA, AvanzaBus, Pullmantur, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Iberia and Air Europa) and how involved they are with respect to Corporate Social Responsibility according to their web analysis and its sustainability report, if available.
First, the objectives of this research and the methodology used are detailed. In addition to the analyzes proposed, it has been interesting to assess the perception of users based on CSR, according to a questionnaire, in which it has been seen that the users of the six companies chosen prefer that their practices be detailed focusing on environmental issues and social.
On the other hand, the general characteristics of the transport sector are exposed, taking into account the importance it supposes in the economy, its PESTEL and Porter analysis, and even how the state of alarm due to COVID-19 influenced. Likewise, it studies how linked business strategies and CSR are, as well as the measures and impact of the sector in terms of CSR, followed by the study of the web accessibility of the six companies chosen. Thanks to this analysis, it is verified that this sector is one of the sectors that produce the most emissions, so there is a relationship between these emissions and the CSR practices that are more detailed on their websites.
Finally, after having presented the results obtained from the analysis of the web content, sustainability reports, and the questionnaire, future lines of research are proposed, such as the analysis of CSR communication through RRSS (Social Networks), and recommendations, such as the creation of a specific section on sustainability or updating of sustainability reports by the companies studied. Finally, the bibliographic section and the research annex are presented.
