Summary
The recognition of equality between women and men and the difficulty of implementing real equality, has been a way to adopt equality policies, therefore in corporate social responsibility it is relevant to mention gender as a priority aspect in our society related to labor law.
Gender equality must continue to be a priority objective in any democratic system, which is why one of the measures is the Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22, 2007, for the effective equality of women and men (LOIMH), dedicating in its chapter VII "Equality in corporate social responsibility". Therefore, equality between women and men is analyzed from the international, community and Spanish points of view.
Within the objective of this work is to see the background of social responsibility as well as the progress and innovation of the same. Then, from a gender perspective, to consider how women's empowerment has been evolving, equality plans and the relationship with the sustainable development goals agenda from a gender point of view.
On the road to gender equality as an integrating element of social responsibility, the framework of obligations of human resources must be reviewed, for which equality plans must contain the tools to eliminate imbalances and inequalities in the presence and participation of women and men in all areas and levels of the organization. Finally, this work seeks to raise awareness that gender equality should be reflected in the social responsibility of companies, guaranteeing better working conditions, as well as a balance in all aspects of responsibility, remuneration, work, family, and social life.
